Babalu BJJ / B.I.G. / Babalu's Iron Gym

Alright everyone lets find out what has been your favorite fight in MMA so far.  Lets see how detailed you guys can get this way if someone has not seen that fight yet they can picture it.

My favorite fight so far would have to be mine.  Before everyone thinks I am being narcissistic about this I lost the fight.

I fought a guy named Aaron Brink.  It was a few years ago out in Corona.  It was in a small gym.  The gym was roughly the same size as ours.  It was in a ring in the back corner.  As far as the fight it didn't last long at all but at this time I had about 3 months of jiu-jitsu and 1 week of boxing under my belt.

In the changing room in the back all the fighters got warmed up together.  Everyone for the most part was real nice and respectful.  All except one, and he lost anyways, so we didn't mind his antics to much.  Anyways I met Aaron and he was a really nice person and I told him that I am basically a huge fan and this was my dream to fight.  So I walk out first with my intro music as AC/DC.  Then he came out to Momma going knock you out by LL Cool J. So the 1st and only round begins(like I said I lost and I never said it was going to be pretty).  So we came to the center of the ring and touch gloves.  I hit him with a double jab and he goes for a body kick.  I catch the kick( I really don't know how) but I did and took him down.  I then tried to jump on his back trying to get a rear naked choke.  Obviously it did not work as he shrugged me off fairly easy.  After that it gets kinda hazy for me .  I remember that after I tried that we were both standing up and trading punches.  I got him in a Muay Thai clinch and I was thinking during the fight I have no clue what I am doing with this as I am kneeing him in the stomach.  As we were working our way across the mat I went for a foot sweep.  As he was falling to the mats we were to close to the ropes and his feet hit the ropes and he ended on top inside of my full guard.  I had both of his arms trapped but he postured straight up and the only thing that was going through my mind was this looks like the sense from Platoon when Tom Beringer was standing over Charlie Sheen and there was nothing but flames in his eyes.  I thought this is going to hurt so much so what can I do.  I decided to try to kick him in the stomach so I could roll over into the turtle position so I can stand up.  The only problem with that plan was when I tried to kick him back he didn't move and I ended up in turtle guard right underneath him.  From there he hit me in the head several times and basically reset me like an old school Nintendo.

That was my favorite fight how about yours?

I would have to say my favorite mma fight would have to be Professor Babalu vs Robbie Lawler, the main reason is because I had the pleasure of attending this fight. I have always been a fan of these two great fighters and to see these two go toe to toe for three rounds was just amazing. Babalu, being the better fighter all around, and Lawler being the devastating ko artist that he is, the outcome of this fight was uncertain. From the moment the bell rung and these two warriors met center cage, I was at the edge of my seat. Back and forth trading strike after strike with the intention of finishing one another, this fight seemed like it would never end. Going into the third and final round, I knew that Babalu had this won as long as he he didn't get caught by a big strike. Finally when the fight was over, I knew professor Babalu would have his hand raised as the winner.
There’s  been so many great fights but my favorite MMA fight would be between Brock Lesnar and Cain Velazquez.
My favorite fight has to be Donald Cerrone vs. Ben Henderson 1. Donald Cerrone had some nasty submissions from his back, but Henderson somehow wouldn't tap
